About Name Love Test

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Name Love Test is a free, transparent compatibility tool that analyzes two names across five measurable factors and returns an instant love score, with every formula, weight, and matrix value fully documented. We built it because most online love calculators are black boxes. Ours is a glass box.

Who We Are

Name Love Test is an independently operated website focused on one thing: name based compatibility analysis that is fun, transparent, and honest about its own limitations.

We sit at the intersection of entertainment and education. Our tools use real pattern analysis (letter frequency overlap, Pythagorean numerology, phonetic rhythm, and alphabet proximity) to generate scores that feel personal. But we are upfront: no algorithm can predict love from two text fields. We say that on every page, because we think honesty makes the experience more interesting, not less.

The site serves anyone curious about name compatibility, from couples testing their names for fun, to party groups running FLAMES rounds, to students exploring numerology concepts for the first time. Our audience spans 50+ countries, and our tools support names in Latin, Arabic, Cyrillic, Devanagari, Hangul, and dozens of other scripts.

Our Story

Name Love Test started with a simple question: what happens if you take two names apart, letter by letter, and see how they overlap? Not in a mystical sense, but in a literal, measurable, pattern-matching sense.

Most name compatibility tools online fall into one of two traps. Either they are black boxes where you type two names and get a number with no explanation, or they wrap a simple random-number generator in mystical language to make it sound profound. We wanted to do neither.

The answer turned out to be more interesting than expected. Names carry real, measurable properties, including letter frequency distributions, vowel to consonant ratios, numerical patterns under systems like Pythagorean numerology, and even the circular distance between their initials in the alphabet. None of these properties predict romantic compatibility (nothing can do that from a name alone), but measuring them honestly and presenting the overlap in a clear, entertaining way turns out to be genuinely engaging.

That insight became the foundation for a 5-factor scoring engine, which eventually grew into a suite of 6 distinct tools, each using a completely different methodology on the same inputs, so users can compare results across methods.

1

The Idea

Robert starts deconstructing how name based love calculators work and discovers that most are random number generators wrapped in mystical language.

2

First Prototype

A working 5-factor scoring engine goes live: Letter Harmony, Number Pair, Sound & Cadence, Initials, and Balance. Every formula is documented from day one.

3

Expanded Toolkit

Five additional calculators launch (DOB, FLAMES, Marriage Type, First Letter, and Numerology), each using a distinct method on the same inputs.

4

Today

Six tools, full transparency, zero data collection, and a growing community of users who appreciate knowing exactly how their score is calculated.

What We Do

We build free, browser-based compatibility tools. Each tool uses a different analysis method, from classical numerology to phonetic rhythm matching, so you can compare scores across methodologies. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser; names and birth dates are never transmitted to any server.

Why You Can Trust Us

Trust is earned through actions, not claims. Here are the specific commitments we make and keep on every page of this site.

Full Transparency

Every formula, weight, calibration curve, and compatibility matrix is documented and explained on each tool's page. You can verify the math yourself.

Privacy First

Names and birth dates never leave your browser. Zero server requests, zero logging, zero cookies tracking your input. The entire calculation runs client-side in JavaScript.

Honest Framing

We clearly label every tool as entertainment. We will never claim that name analysis, numerology, or letter patterns can predict, assess, or measure a real relationship.

Kind by Design

No score band is framed as bad news. The copy is calibrated to be safe for people testing real partners. Low scores are gentle, high scores are exciting, and never cruel or misleading.

Accessible to Everyone

Keyboard navigable, screen-reader friendly, high-contrast compliant, and reduced-motion aware. Works in English, Hindi, Arabic, Korean, and 50+ other scripts.

No Signup, No Paywall

Every tool on this site is free to use, unlimited, with no account creation required. We do not gate features behind registration walls or premium tiers.

Content & Editorial Standards

Every page on Name Love Test follows these editorial standards:

  • Factual claims are sourced. When we reference psychological research (like the Barnum effect or Sternberg's triangular theory of love), we cite the original researchers and studies by name.
  • Entertainment is clearly labeled. Every calculator page carries an entertainment badge and a disclaimer stating that the tool does not predict, assess, or measure real relationships.
  • Content is regularly reviewed. Pages are updated to reflect changes in scoring methodology, correct factual errors, and improve clarity.
  • No manufactured social proof. We do not display fake testimonials, fabricated review counts, or inflated user statistics anywhere on the site.
  • Algorithms are documented. The scoring methodology, including factor weights, compatibility matrices, and calibration curves, is explained on each tool's page so users can verify the math themselves.
